Community Hub Update
After we closed on 28th November for our usual Christmas break, there was some sense of sadness from our regular patrons as normally, we would be planning to re-open on the first week of January.
This time, however, we closed for the entire month of January as well as the hall was having a complete refresh.
The sixth of February saw us fling open the doors again, place the signboard outside and welcome back a steady stream of regulars, all eager to be back, tasting homemade bakes and sampling our range of hot drinks.
It was heart-warming to watch groups of people gathering around and having a good catch-up, as well as welcoming in guests from outside the immediate village but also people who have recently moved in.
On offer for the first week was fudge and walnut cake, a vegan carrot cake and pistachio and apricot flapjacks. All went down very well, with not even a crumb left over.
The hall refresh was discussed and we are looking forward to the new curtains too.
A great start to another year of “Hubbing” and Fiona and Louise once again, extend their thanks for the continued support of those who attend.
