New Cattistock Village Website YouTube Channel!
The team at the Village Website are very pleased to announce that we will very shortly be launching a YouTube Channel. The idea of this is to enable villagers and visitors to post videos to showcase this lovely village in movement rather than just still photography. As you may have guessed, that’s where you come in!
We would like you to send in any videos you may have already taken of village events such as Christmas lunches, music evenings, sports events, and videos you may take in the future such as the events over the summer such as the village Fete week events. Any video which give the village and the outside world a flavour of life in a Dorset Village in the 21st Century.
At first, please keep the videos to about 2 minutes in length. As we gain knowledge, we should be able to increase this, and whilst on the subject of learning, please bear in mind that this is new to all of us, so if there are any villagers proficient in the ways of YouTube and are happy to offer guidance and advice, please make yourself known to the team either through the website “contact us”, the email below or tell Ian Vine, Peter Farmer, Barbara Evans, Hannah Hampshire or Fiona Fulton.
Ian Vine will be the main contact for the project so hopefully will survive via expert villagers, Chatgpt and stubborness!
Please send your videos to : cattistockvillage@gmail.com
You may wish to add a small text description, which will go on the page under the video.
You may need to use a file transfer service such as WeTransfer to transfer your videos which can be downloaded to your phone.
We will announce when the the channel is available (when we have a video!) on village media!
Please note, regarding the suitability of Videos, the final decision as to whether or not to publish remains with the Website Project team.
We look forward to receiving your videos.
