The closest station to Cattistock is Maiden Newton, which is on the Weymouth to Bristol line, and is approximately 1.4 miles from Cattistock on foot.
There are main line stations at Dorchester and Yeovil, Dorchester South and Yeovil Junction, but neither of these lines run through Maiden Newton. To get to Maiden Newton from Dorchester South, you must first walk to Dorchester West, approximately 0.3 of a mile. To get to Maiden Newton from Yeovil Junction, you would first need to travel to Yeovil Pen Mill, which is approximately 2.1 miles, but as the route is a busy road, it would be safer by taxi.

Dorset Community Transport provides a service to Yeovil on Thursdays leaving Cattistock at approximately 9:40am. You must register with them, and book your place by 14:30pm on the day before you want to travel. Ring 01258 287980 to book.
Dorset County Council Passenger Services run a service to Dorchester on Tuesdays and Thursdays, leaving Cattistock at approximately 9:50am. To book by 15:00pm the day before you want to travel, and for further information, ring 01305 228965.
National Route 26, of the National Cycle Network runs from Portishead on the Somerset coast, to Portland in Dorset, passing through Cattistock.
