By Train

The closest station to Cattistock is Maiden Newton, which is on the Weymouth to Bristol line, and is approximately 1.4 miles from Cattistock on foot.

There are main line stations at Dorchester and Yeovil, Dorchester South and Yeovil Junction, but neither of these lines run through Maiden Newton. To get to Maiden Newton from Dorchester South, you must first walk to Dorchester West, approximately 0.3 of a mile. To get to Maiden Newton from Yeovil Junction, you would first need to travel to Yeovil Pen Mill, which is approximately 2.1 miles, but as the route is a busy road, it would be safer by taxi.
