Cattistock WI – Inspiring Women in Cattistock for 100 years!

Our WI is very fortunate in having a steady membership of people from Cattistock and the surrounding villages, who enjoy meeting once a month at The Savill Hall. We have a planned programme of talks, craft activities and social evenings – there really is something for everyone. We also take part in the national WI campaigns on issues that matter to us and our communities.

We had our first “live” meeting since lockdown at the Savill Hall On Thursday 2 September.  The evening comprised of a very brief talk by our new President, Joy, followed by an interesting presentation on Asian Hornets by Peter Crabbe.

Our new programme of events for the coming year has now been set up by our Events Committee and details are below:

We meet on the first Thursday of each month:

November 2021: Christmas Stars – an in-house craft activity.

December 2021: A Tudor Christmas. Gareth Jones Mayor of Dorchester and Mrs Anne Jones. A lighthearted evening with costume and music.

January 2022: A Zoom meeting at Savill Hall with Frances Carlaw – aka The Pearl Lady.

February 2022: An evening at Hotter Shoes, Dorchester.

March 2022: Mysteries of Recycling. A talk by Paul Burridge from Dorset Waste.
